Employees

Being off work due to mental illness such as anxiety, depression or psychosis can make you feel very isolated and vulnerable. It’s tiring having a mental illness. Allow me to support you emotionally and practically in this vital aspect of your recovery. I can offer support to both you, and if desired, liaise with your employer too, to ensure an appropriately graded return to work plan is in place for you which meets your needs.

Alternatively, you may not be in work and yet wish to be. With my support we can look at ways to rebuild your confidence, and look at types of work which suit you and your needs.

You may also want support with knowing what to say to colleagues, how to ensure they understand your needs and any alterations to your work roles and responsibilities.

Employers

It is vital that employers support the successful return to work of their employees following any episode of sickness, be it due to a physical or a mental health condition. Comprehensive plans should be in place before the employee’s first day back at work.

Allow me to work collaboratively with you and your employee to support this process with relevant recommendations such as

  • Supporting achievement and accomplishment to develop someone’s confidence again in the workplace
  • Graded / phased return to work plans
  • Plans to minimise stressors
  • Reviewing roles and responsibilities
