The AMPS is a very comprehensive assessment takes a minimum of 3 sessions to complete. 

 

Session 1: Approximately 90 minute long screening assessment, explanation of the assessment and choosing 2 tasks to be observed engaging in 

 

Session 2: The observational part of the assessment. You will be given specific instructions to follow before engaging in the first chosen task. I cannot talk to you during the assessment and will be busy writing things down. The same process will then occur for the second task. Session 2 will take up to three hours depending on the tasks you choose or it can be split into two separate, shorter sessions. 

 

A full report will then be compiled for you and a final meeting will allow this to be explained in its entirety and for recommendations to be given.  I am then more than happy to provide 1:1 support to work on any areas of need, or provide tuition and supervision to carers you may already have in place to enable them to support you to develop skills to improve the highlighted areas of need.
